The oil level should be between the Min and Max marks.Make sure that the oil filler cap is properly tightened.Check the threaded plug of the drainage hole and the oil filter seal for tightness. If necessary, carefully tighten them up.

VWAG specifies at least two different PNs for OIL filters depending on application for MK7 Golf 1.8T - PN 06K 115 562 (approx $11 CAD before taxes) for MK7 GTI / R - PN 06L 115 562 (approx $18 before taxes at dealer) When I did an oil change on my 1.8T I had an oil filter I had previously bought for my R, so I used this filter.
For a start there is ZERO oil anywhere in the bag, this filter is pre-oiled and made (according to the stamp) 28-04-2015. This straight away gives me some confidence of the level of care that goes into the product. no oil seeping out of the bag, unlike K&N which are always swimming in oil and sometimes remnants of leakage in the cardboard box.

Hey, has anyone out there done a DSG service on the 7-speed DQ381 that comes on the 2018+ Golf R and 2019+ GTI? Is it the same filter and fluid as the 6 speed DSG on MK7 Golf? Same temperture and fill snorkel procedure as well? No one has posted a handy DIY video on YouTube yet.

Reinstall the oil filter housing to the engine block and tighten those bolts to 18.5ft/lbs as well. When you finally get back to reinstalling the intake manifold, snug those bolts to 7ft/lbs.

Mine leaked too. This is not uncommon at all in our gtis. Mechanic pros I went to saw that VW only installs 6 out of 8 bolts on the RMS and my leak occurred right where one bolt was left off. If ur ding tranny work, replace the RMS and bring extra bolts. Gl.

In fact it is replaceable only if you're able to find the filter alone to buy it and have the knowledge and patience to remove, turn the pump to pieces and rebuild it.
